I’m passionate about teaching people to use fitness to be healthy, strong and confident so they can fully enjoy life.

I specialize in working with clients who have a wide range of fitness needs. Each person is unique, and I use a personalized, science-based approach to tailor creative movement programs to your needs. As an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, a NASM Corrective Exercises specialist, and an AFAA Senior Fitness Specialist, I meet you where you are, and we work together to incorporate fitness into your life.

We achieve this through:

Resistance training
Metabolic conditioning
Flexibility, mobility, and balance training
Core training
Building the mind-body connection

I offer:

Individual, in-person and online, personal training sessions
Online group fitness classes
Small group training (up to four people)
Instruction in learning to run or improve basic running skills

Susan is one of the best instructors I’ve worked with. She is enthusiastic and creative with her workouts. She addresses all parts of the body in her classes and includes a short stretch at the end of the workout. More than any other instructor she truly watches to be sure we are doing the exercises correctly and safely. She offers adjustments for anyone who is not able to do the exercise as prescribed. She is devoted to her field and a wonderful person.

Zoom Class Descriptions

Down To The Core focuses on areas of the body that support our posture, balance, and stability. In this knee-friendly workout, we use gentle movement exercises and floor work to strengthen and tone the muscles in the abdomen, back, sides, pelvis, and buttocks to leave you feeling accomplished, flexible, and strong. Appropriate for all fitness levels.

Low Impact Strength and Conditioning is a fun and energetic total body class that combines heart pumping aerobic movement with targeted core, upper, and lower body strength-building. We do knee-friendly standing and floor work and incorporate equipment including dumbbells, fitness bands, and small cushions or lightweight balls. This class is appropriate for both beginner and intermediate fitness levels, and we offer modifications to create greater challenge or to accommodate movement restrictions.

Power Hour is a high energy full-body workout that will get your heart pumping and your muscles burning. We utilize a variety of equipment, including dumb bells, fitness bands, mats, and sliders for a creative and challenging workout. This is an intermediate level class, and we  offer modifications for a variety of levels and movement restrictions.

Gentle Mobility and Flexibility is a class designed to gently lengthen your muscles and loosen your joints. We incorporate organic movements and simple yoga and Pilates postures to expand your range of motion and help you relax, recover from, and enhance your performance in your other weekly workouts. We may use yoga blocks, yoga straps, blankets or bolsters, and small cushions or Pilates balls as props. This class is appropriate for all levels and movement restrictions.

Chair Jam is a lively, seated workout focused on increasing aerobic conditioning, core strength and upper body toning. We move the body through all planes of motion: forward and back, side to side, and rotationally and use simple chair-supported, standing barre exercises to lengthen and build the lower body muscles. This class is appropriate for all levels and movement restrictions and we offer suggestions to provide greater challenge for a more advanced experience.
