Hi, I’m Susan!
My career in the fitness industry was born out of my own need to reclaim my motion, my vitality, and my confidence. Who starts a running and strength training regimen in her 40’s and then marathon training after age 50? I did. I made the commitment, and I stick with it for one simple reason: It feels really, really good.

My Story
At the age of 48, I decided to take my fitness to a new level. I had always been athletic and had participated in track and field, dance, kickline and competitive swimming. After years of working out sporadically while raising my children, I began a fitness program that started with one-mile jogs on the treadmill and then slowly added strength training exercises learned from my dance foundation. Within three months, I ran my first 5K race. Three months later, I ran my first 10K race, and a year after beginning my new life with fitness, I ran in the New York City Half Marathon. I completed my first full marathon at age 52 and realized my longtime dream of running the Boston Marathon on April 16, 2018.
Fitness has transformed my life and brought me immense, lasting joy. The overwhelming sense of accomplishment that I feel each and every day is my greatest motivator. I feel happy. I feel proud. I feel powerful, and my kids think their mom is pretty awesome. When I look in the mirror, I see someone that I truly like. I’ve pushed myself to do something I never thought I’d do, and because my goals are only for me, I keep setting new ones.
I know firsthand that anyone, at any age, can achieve—or reclaim—being fit. I want others to experience those same mental and physical benefits and realize their ability to live full, vital lives.
